ABOUT US

Solara Festival was founded by Isabelle Brown, Jessica Marsden and Olivia Carey, from Bath Spa University. We are all musicians ourselves and all have had experience in this field of work prior to running and putting on this festival. We all share a passion for live music and putting on live events and came together as part of one of our university modules to put on a festival, to show case up and coming artists.

At Solara Festival, we aim to be as inclusive as possible by welcoming all genres of music to perform at our festival! We want to create an environment where everyone, of all genders and ages, are welcome. We are excited to be able to provide a vibrant, enjoyable and exciting experience with a positive dynamic. At Solara, we aim to be as authentic as we can with our goals. BBC News states that only 13% of UK music festival headliners are female. As 4 females, this has driven us to ensure that we have a 50/50 gender split in our lineup. We have also decided to donate a portion of our proceeds to charity (more information on our chosen charity under 'Charity & Donations').
